Event strategy helps BGCSF gala stand out

Signature events help nonprofits showcase programming and build relationships with donors. But it takes
expert-level event planning and event production skills to stand out during gala season.
In 2017, Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) first brought us on to reimagine their Annual
Gala and After-Party, with a goal of growing their donor base. We’ve partnered ever since. The recent
2024 celebration continued our creative support and led to the highest total ($1M) in the organization’s
history.

A well-executed event helps build donor trust in an organization. Weaving a wow-factor throughout sparks
a sense of community as a generous crowd shares in something special. Now held at the Palace of Fine
Arts, “Meet the Moment” shines a spotlight on the mission with an electric evening that blends youth
testimonials and lively entertainment through high-tech design and production.

Event production makes fundraiser… well, fun

Gala attendees enjoy a fine dining experience, followed by moving performances by youth. The
lively after-party attracts a younger crowd of supporters. A captivating photographic gallery of success
stories personalizes the elegant space, where the whole crowd (600+ people) lets loose with a live band
and silent disco.

Combining tradition and cutting-edge technology, BGCSF increased the value of the experience and
transformed a traditional fundraiser into a celebratory event. For an organization dedicated to
changing the trajectory for young people, infusing fun into the function felt critical.
BGCSF depends on the Annual Gala to fund major programs. Operating costs continue to rise, and each
year, the organization meets their event fundraising goal by inspiring a new generation of
philanthropists and ensuring tenured donors feel the love. For BGCSF, the bottom line is about
opening doors. This big night empowers young people to realize their full potential.
